A Business Beats Cancer Cymru event, focusing on how businesses can support colleagues and dear beings confronted with cancer, take place Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Copthorne hotel in Cardiff.
Why employers should attend
Almost 1 in 2 people will have cancer in their lifetime.
Join the team between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to hear powerful personal stories, expert advice from the main cancer nurse Research UK for Wales and practical stages to create a more compassionate workplace.
Julie Grabham will also be part of the panel and will share the commitment of HR JG with the participants who recommend paid holidays for cancer screening and strives to break the taboo around cancer at the workplace.
Protect mental and physical health
World Mental Health Day of this year will be celebrated the next day on October 10 and the theme of this year as established by the World Mental Health Federation is access to services – mental health of disasters and emergencies. The theme highlights the importance that people are able to protect their mental health everything they experience, and it will be a subject of relevant discussion during the Business Beats Cancer Cymru event.
Tea, coffee and pastries will be served when they arrive at 11 a.m., and optional networking will take place between 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
