Health and social care care workers Alternative term group (AFG) are planned for a remuneration following a several million pound investment.
With the recognition of the spring declaration that this year will continue to be difficult for many, the AFG has announced an increase of five percent for front -line workers to correspond to the real wages and an increase of four percent for other colleagues to help in the cost of living.
The AFG Board of Directors has initiated 5.9 million pounds sterling to improve the salary of their highly appreciated leading colleagues in the real salary and an additional £ 600,000 to guarantee an increase in the cost of living for other staff members. This is the most important investment to date of the charitable organization and follows three successive years of real terms.
The increase in wages will have an impact on 1,800 people working in Merseyside, Grand Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire.
Ian Pritchard, director general of the AFG (photo above), said: “It will be incredibly difficult this year given the economic prospects, the increased costs associated with the bill on employment rights and budget reductions of the local authority continues.”
Kirsty Murphy, head of AFG chief, said: “We appreciate our workers' colleagues and recognize that they are essential to the success of the organization and the sector, our commitment to them is unshakable.
“In the past three years, the AFG has invested 13.5 million pounds Sterling to improve the remuneration of our front -line colleagues and 2.8 million pounds sterling to colleagues in other roles.”
The AFG works with around 900 people with learning disabilities and mental health problems in the North West and the sector continues to deal with a recruitment crisis. Skills for Care estimates that 430,000 other social caregivers will be necessary by 2035 – and 540,000 by 2040 * – to meet demand in the United Kingdom.
