Barhale, the specialist in civil engineering, infrastructure and tunnels, has further strengthened the performance standards of his drivers after the adoption of a Surecam video telematic solution in its 300+ commercial fleet. In the past 12 months, the company has increased a 16% increase in performance compared to the main security measures.
“We are fully committed to reaching and maintaining the highest health, safety and well -being standards at work, it is therefore essential that we have the right tools in place to protect our team,” explains Nathan Phipps, Fleet & Transport Manager of BCS Group – part of the group of Barhale companies. “Since the installation of the Surecam Dash camera solution, we have seen impressive results that have had a direct and positive impact on road safety, the conformity of the waves and exposure to risks through the commercial operation of the fleet.”
To date, Barhale has deployed Dash cameras to more than 300 vehicles across the fleet, including small, medium and large vans such as Tippers and Dropsides, as well as the BCS group's delivery fleet. A rear -oriented secondary camera has been introduced as technology upgrading and deployed on newly invested vehicles to improve visibility and support the examination of incidents.
The company initially adopted the SURECAM solution in 2020 as part of a vehicle supply agreement with Europcar, but has since installed technology on its growing flow in order to have a single system telematic solution in the future.
The Dashcam solution has provided Barhale with access to live and historical sequences and support data, allowing driver's behavior to be closely monitored and allowing the fleet team to respond appropriately to real -time or retrospective incidents. The secondary rear camera has also improved visibility in a larger range of incidents, especially in cases where vehicles were struck from behind, helping to provide clear context and support for complaints not to fault.
“We have experienced several key operational and commercial advantages since the implementation of the Surecam solution beyond our main security objective. The adoption of best driving practices has led to a reduction in insurance complaints to fault.
Sam Footer, director of the partnership at Surecam, said: “We combine reliable and effective technological solutions with unrivaled customer service to develop solid relationships with our customers such as Barhale.
