The salaries of legal technology professionals increase sharply, companies paying record sums for skills in cybersecurity, data science and IT architecture, according to new SPG Resourcing research.
The results highlight both the extent of demand and the fragility of supply. Senior cybersecurity architects order basic wages up to up to £ 150,000, with information security directors in large companies can earn packages exceeding £ 200,000 once the bonuses are taken into account.
Experienced IT architects can expect £ 120,000 to £ 160,000, reflecting the premium placed on those who are capable of guiding businesses through cloud and AI migration programs.
Commercial analysts and change professionals, although less well remunerated, remain at the heart of transformation projects, generally gaining between 80,000 and £ 110,000 at higher levels. Data scientists with the capacity to apply predictive analysis and automatic learning in a legal context are increasingly precious, managers capable of ordering up to £ 130,000.
The geography and size of the company are the main engines of remuneration. The roles of London have a bonus of 20 to 30% compared to regional equivalents, although hybrid work begins to reduce the gap. The largest companies generally offer basic wages of 15 to 25% higher than medium -sized competitors, while consultants in stores and legal technology suppliers compete by offering equity and greater flexibility.
Sam Hameed, director general of the SPG group, said the market reflected a fundamental change in the legal services model: “The sector is in a war for talents. The highest premiums are assigned to professionals who combine technical expertise with in -depth knowledge of the legal field.
The report indicates a market under tension. Lawyers' firms are forced to invest massively in skills that customers are waiting for more and more standard, in particular around data protection and automation. The risk, according to analysts, is that companies unable to support the increase in labor costs can find it difficult to balance processing imperatives with customer efficiency demands.
SPG resources have recently entered the increase in expanding resources, aimed at giving organizations focused on technology to quick access to specialized talents without delays in traditional recruitment cycles.
