To highlight the month of stress awareness, Conferences and events of Center Parcs revealed that work events organized outside are better for the well-being of employees, productivity and overall performance of the company, compared to indoor events.
Center Parcs worked with a third-party research company to study HR decision-makers in the United Kingdom and collect expert information on how the days, sales conferences and training days have an impact on employees and companies in the company.
The results of the survey show that although almost all companies (94%) agree that work events have positive effects on employees, the greatest advantages come from events organized in natural environment.
While more than half (53%) of companies said that employees felt more positive about work after corporate events, this figure has climbed to 63% when you consider work events outside.
In the same way, the study has revealed that although an already significant number of companies (80%) agree that work events improve employee satisfaction, a higher proportion (86%) estimates that working events that are reinforced outside employee satisfaction.
Events in natural environments have also managed to stimulate productivity, with three -quarters of companies agreeing that events improve the productivity of workers, moving to 84% for events organized in natural environments.
Data has also shown that three -quarters of companies agree that work events prevent workplace disputes, but a higher number of companies (85%) see the advantages of employees after outdoor events.
In addition, natural environments have been demonstrated to facilitate relaxation and increased desire to share ideas with colleagues. For example, 56% of companies said employees felt more relaxed and 54% said that employees were more able to bring new ideas to their work following an outdoor business event.
In addition to improving positivity, satisfaction, productivity and relations between employees, research has also indicated that corporate events help companies directly generate additional income and that outside events are particularly effective on this subject.
The results have shown that if 69% of companies agree that corporate events contribute directly to their income generation strategies, a greater proportion of companies (81%) thought that events held in natural environment directly stimulate income.
Julia GreenCorporate event manager at Center Parcs, said: “Events organized outside are particularly effective in stimulating morale, helping colleagues to connect and that driving business is certainly not a surprise for us, but it is encouraging to see this saved by difficult data.
“Center Parcs has always defended the power of nature, and we have continued to take advantage of the environment of forest rich in our sites in Sherwood and Woburn to create relaxing and revitalizing business experiences that help employees refocus and remain motivated, adding saunas at top of trees and gong forests to our already diverse offer.
“The month of stress awareness serves as an important recall to reflect on the stressors of our life, which is not controlled can easily accumulate and lead to professional exhaustion, especially for workers in intense business environments.
“In addition, because companies are struggling with a host of additional pressures, ranging from a slow labor market and well-being reforms, workers will inevitably feel a certain stress, and therefore bringing employees to have never been so important.”
The survey also revealed that more than half (52%) of companies had already organized at least one business event outside, an additional 8% actively planned to organize an outdoor event in 2025.
The study comes from a record year for corporate reservations in 2024 for conferences and events of the parks center and the release of its inaugural white paper, The value of corporate events, which offers a detailed analysis of the data of motivations and rewards for the accommodation of work functions.
